My wife and I live in Painswick having recently retired from breeding horses and running an international software company. We encourage guests to use to Painswick Bowling Club whichis adjacent to Hill Cottage as an experience !!

wonderful location and property in Painswick.We enjoyed long cycle rides over the hills , a short ride also to Sheepscombes Bulls Head pub for dinner outside and a lovely ride home in the evening sun too. The tennis club at the Rugby Club was happy for their facility to be used which we did happily every evening. Public golf course at Painswick Golf Club - v good.

Lovely staying here again. Now in May, the sun streams in through the bedroom windows, we can have breakfast in the patio garden listening to the birdsong and the occasional horse and rider pass by.
Highly recommend walking through the woodlands close to the nearby village of Sheepscombe, a sea of wild garlic flowers and bluebells. The local countryside has new visual treats with every month!
