Tucked into the rolling hills outside Perugia on the Murlo Castle estate, the four-bedroom home has spectacular views of the valley below Mount Tezio, a prime location near a golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and charming rustic ambience. The villa has extensive outdoor spaces, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing or golf. A large deck with a seating area has commanding views of the landscape, as do the Pool, Hot tub and pool terrace. A charcoal grill and al-fresco dining area let you enjoy the sunset over dinner. Indoors, relax with a glass of wine and watch a DVD from the library or browse via Wi-Fi access. Baby equipment like a crib and high chair welcomes even the youngest visitors. The common areas of Villa Allegra are bright and cheerful. One living room has a built-in bookcase, and a red plaid sofa and chaise longue pulled up to a fireplace; the other has original stone walls, beamed ceilings and 2 comfortable sofas. The cozy dining room shares the warm color scheme and has farmhouse-style ladder-back chairs, while the modern kitchen’s brick backsplash and curtains are full of country charm. Each of Villa Allegra’s four bedrooms comes with air conditioning and window screens for comfortable sleeping even at the height of summer. The rooms are inviting and restful, boasting wrought-iron and colourful linen on the beds. There are four bedrooms with king beds and en-suite showers or en-suite bathtub. If you’d prefer to spend your stay at the villa, chef and butler service can be arranged at extra cost. If you’ve come for the golf, the course is a 3-minute drive away. Take in the panorama from the recently rebuilt three-bedroom home, which has room for up to eight guests, or beautiful outdoor spaces like an Olympic-sized pool and terrace. Enjoy the unspoiled countryside and secluded location as well as easy access to a golf club and restaurant, just minutes away. Today, the villa’s tower stands watch over a large pool, plenty of chaise longues under a lovely pergola, 2 outdoor dining areas, one covered with a lovely pergola and a barbecue. Climb the tower to read, stargaze or enjoy a glass of wine on the rooftop terrace. The interiors are cozy like a private home and offer Sky TV and Wi-Fi access, as well as air-conditioned bedrooms. Beamed ceilings, stone walls and rough-hewn fireplace surrounds lend rustic charm to the living spaces at Torre. In the living room, striped sofas, a painted cabinet and an upholstered ottoman create a welcoming, cozy spot, and the bright dining room, which opens to the garden, has both wicker chairs and banquette seating around a large farmhouse-style table. The kitchen’s open wood shelving has old-fashioned character, but it’s equipped with modern appliances. Each of the villa’s three bedrooms, tucked into the tower, has an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning. Torre is located on the Murlo estate, so take the time to explore the location surrounding the Murlo castle and the valley of Monte Tezio, both visible from the villa.
